From the moment Rachel began her journey in becoming a therapist, she dreamed of one day opening her own counseling practice—a place where people could feel truly seen, heard, and supported. After years of gaining clinical experience, building her professional foundation, getting married, and starting a family, she felt ready to bring that dream to life.
Falcon Behavioral Care, LLC is more than just a practice—it is Rachel’s passion project and what she affectionately calls her “third baby.” Building FBC required months of planning, learning, growing, and taking leaps of faith. Each step was guided by a deep commitment to creating a space where meaningful healing and personal growth could happen.
At Falcon Behavioral Care, we believe therapy should be a place where clients feel safe to embrace who they truly are. Our approach centers on helping individuals recognize and honor their unique personalities, strengths, and life experiences. Through this process, we support clients in developing the mindset and tools needed to cultivate happiness, resilience, empowerment, and fulfillment in their lives.
Rachel’s vision for Falcon Behavioral Care is simple but powerful: to create a welcoming, compassionate environment where people feel supported as they navigate life’s challenges and discover their own capacity for growth and change.
Welcome!

Hi there! I’m Jess Arabia, the friendly face behind the scenes helping keep everything running smoothly. When I’m not making sure things stay organized and the billing process runs efficiently, you can usually find me in the kitchen whipping up something sweet or savory, or spending quality time with my family. Owner/Clinical Director
Unfortunately, not accepting new clients.
Being a therapist is more than just my job, it is truly my passion. I genuinely look forward to each session, whether I am meeting with new clients or continuing the work with individuals I have had the privilege of supporting for years. It is an honor to be invited into someone’s story and to play even a small role in their growth and healing.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I love spending time with my husband, our two children, and our beloved dog (who we often joke is our “third child”). In my free time, I enjoy shopping, being creative and crafty, and traveling whenever I have the opportunity.
In my clinical work, I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques in order to best meet the individual needs of each client. I take a relationship-based approach to therapy, prioritizing connection, authenticity, and collaboration. My goal is to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and validated.
In session, I strive to provide a warm and supportive environment where clients feel safe exploring their thoughts, emotions, and goals. My hope is that each time you leave a session, you feel validated, empowered, and confident in applying what we’ve worked on to your everyday life.

Hi, I’m Katie! My journey into the world of mental health began at Drew University, where I was a collegiate soccer player and earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish. Driven by a deep passion for helping others, I went on to complete my master’s degree in Clinical Counseling, gaining extensive experience across diverse settings including private practice, school environments, and an eating disorder treatment center offering Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) programs. Additionally, I was honored to receive a 30 Under 30 award recognizing early leaders in the field.
At the heart of my work is the belief that people heal best in spaces where they feel safe. My goal is to help clients feel understood, validated, and empowered to make meaningful change. Whether you're seeking support for yourself or your child, I aim to make therapy a supportive and even enjoyable part of your week.

My journey into therapy began with a genuine curiosity about why we do what we do and how our minds work. But it was the moments of connection and support I witnessed – seeing firsthand how they could change lives – that truly ignited my passion for this path.
I prioritize your unique experiences and strengths, employing a client-centered approach that fosters collaboration and empowerment. With fluency in both English and Spanish, I endeavor to ensure accessibility and inclusivity for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Drawing from a diverse array of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Psychodynamic therapy, I tailor our sessions to suit your specific needs and preferences.
Specializing in assisting individuals through life transitions such as career changes, relocations, and coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, or grief, my aim is to cultivate a supportive and nurturing environment where you can explore, heal, and thrive.
Let’s work together through your journey of growth and transformation, where you will discover solace, validation, and the tools needed to navigate life's challenges with resilience and confidence.

Nicole Lawson, MA, LAC
Clinician
Happily accepting new clients, with limited availability.
Hello! My name is Nicole Lawson, I am currently a licensed associate counselor.
My journey began at Montclair State University where I earned a bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology. My experience working in the mental health field as an adolescent group therapy facilitator led me to pursue my masters in Mental Health Counseling at Kean University.
My experience includes working with adolescents and their families in outpatient programs, with a variety of diagnoses. Some cases I have worked closely with include individuals with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Autism, and more. To me, the key is not in the diagnosis but instead the symptoms currently causing an individual or their family distress. I work closely with my clients to target these symptoms and achieve the life they envision.
I have extensive experience in the school system working as a current school counselor. I firsthand understand the struggles students face on a day to day basis.
I believe there is always room to grow and learn to better the lives of my clients and am constantly seeking ways to do so. I hope to provide a warm, inviting, and validating space where my clients feel driven to grow and learn about themselves as well.
I was born and raised in New Jersey and enjoy spending time with my three dogs! I am also an avid “Swiftie”.
Congratulations on taking the first steps in your healing, let’s get talking!

Allison Carella, MA
Clinical Intern
Not accepting new clients, currently on leave.
Therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff or serious all the time. Yes, we’ll explore hard moments-but we’ll also leave space to laugh, reflect, and celebrate the quiet wins that often go unnoticed. I’m here to help you untangle the knots and help navigate life’s obstacles with empathy, encouragement, and real conversation.
I’m a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern pursuing my M.A. at New Jersey City University, and I’m also a licensed Professional School Counselor. Since 2017, I’ve worked in New Jersey’s public school systems with students ages 2-19. Currently, I’m a full-time middle school counselor, and my experience spans early childhood through high school, including work in schools for students with special needs.
I’m passionate about supporting children, teens, and young adults. Whether you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, or just unsure of what’s next, I’m all about creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are—messy, curious, hopeful, tired, all of it.
My approach isn’t one-size-fits-all. I pull from a mix of evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy, blending techniques based on your unique needs and goals. Together, we’ll find what works for you.
My goal is for therapy to feel like a space you look forward to each session. A place for growth, self-awareness, and even where the smallest steps forward are celebrated. I truly believe every behavior tells a story, and I’m here to help you make sense of yours.
Outside of therapy, you’ll find me spending time with my family, gathered around my grandparents' dining room table, or hanging out with friends. I also love cleaning, organizing just about anything, exploring local coffee shops, going to concerts, traveling, or taking a nap—because yes, rest is self-care.

Kristi Polidore
Clinical Intern
Accepting new clients, limited availability.
Hello there! I'm Kristi.
I'm a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern pursuing my M.Ed. in Counseling at William Paterson University. Before entering the mental health field, I spent years as a writer, educator, and mentor, holding an MFA in Creative and Professional Writing and a BA in English. My experience teaching writing—helping others find their voice and make meaning of their stories—led me to my calling as a counselor.I see deep connections between writing and therapy: both involve storytelling, vulnerability, reflection, and growth. As a therapist, I approach each person’s story with compassion, curiosity, and care, creating space for healing, insight, and change.
I’m especially passionate about supporting neurodiverse individuals. As a neurodivergent person and parent to two uniquely wired kids, I value inclusive, affirming care that recognizes both strengths and challenges.
I work with children, teens, and adults using an integrative approach grounded in CBT, DBT, Play Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy, with a strong leaning toward psychodynamic exploration. Whether you’re navigating change, seeking clarity, or simply need a space to be heard, I’ll meet you where you are—and support you in becoming the empowered author of your own life.
In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors as much as possible, practicing yoga, and spending time with my husband and our three children.
